PROTECTION DOG TRAINING
ALL DOGS ARE GOOD WE MAKE THEM BETTER
Without the relevant knowledge, techniques, or time, protection dog training can be difficult. It’s also a very time-consuming process. This can often lead to frustrated owners and very unruly animals.
Here at Link K9, we specialise in dog obedience training across a range of breeds, using tried and tested techniques. Our processes include positive reward based training among others. We firmly believe that introducing rules and structure, as well as love and care, will lead to a happier experience for pets and owners alike. This is why we rear the dogs in our own family home rather than using kennels. This ensures that the experience for your pet is not only effective but also enjoyable.
It doesn’t matter if you require residential protection dog training, one to one training, or puppy obedience training. Link K9 has the service for you across the UK with our headquarter based in Liverpool.

THE BEST OBEDIENCE TRAINING
DOG TRAINING CONSULTATION
Before we start any training process, we will always arrange a consultation to discuss your pets training requirements and what your expectations are. This allows us to tailor a bespoke training programme to your dog and provide estimations of the length of time we expect the obedience training to take. A tailored plan helps us to achieve the most from your dog’s obedience training, producing great results.
PERSONALISED PLANS
At Link K9, we understand that protection dog training is something individual to your personal preferences. Therefore, we have multiple training options to suit you and your dog’s needs. When you embark on our dog obedience training course we will offer you a number of options which suit you and your dog. We want your training to succeed.
RESIDENTIAL DOG TRAINING
Our residential training, based in Formby, Merseyside, is an intensive and effective form of dog obedience training that we recommend for the most effective results. This type of training involves your pet staying with us for the entire length of the training programme. They will stay with us at our family home and will be treated as part of the family for the duration of the stay.
DAILY COLLECTION TRAINING
If you would prefer a less immersive, yet still extremely effective, training course, we have our daily collection obedience training. This involves you collecting your dog from us after a day of obedience training. If you’re located reasonably close to us we would be more than happy for you to arrange a time for your dog to be dropped off after the days training has finished.
ONE-TO-ONE TRAINING
We understand that, as an owner, you may like to play a part in your dog’s obedience training. Therefore, we offer one-to-one dog obedience training. This can take place at either your home or in our training field, to involve you fully in the process. Another option for one-to-one training is our training walks. This allows you to gain confidence with our dog trainer at your side. Our one-to-one training sessions are available 7 days a week, for your convenience.
PUPPY TRAINING
Puppy training is the most important part of any well-balanced dog. This type of training builds the perfect foundation in order for you to have an extremely obedient and well-trained dog. Training your dog from a young age allows our obedience training to become part of their everyday habits, which will continue as they grow. To instil these behaviours from as young as possible, our puppy training can be started from 8 weeks old.
DOG TRAINING IS KEY TO OUR SUCCESS
It is just as important to provide peace of mind that you and your family are protected, but also assure that your pet becomes a loving companion and integrates seamlessly into family life. At Link K9 we assure that our dogs have been selected from trustworthy breeders that have been in the business for years. We know where our dogs are coming from and this enables us to train an obedient protection dog that is also a loving family pet. We ensure this by rearing your pet from the comfort of our own home. Take a look at our range of German Shepherd home protection dogs on our testimonials page to hear more about our dog’s skills and temperament.
