ALL DOGS ARE GOOD BUT NOT ALL DOGS ARE RIGHT
At Link K9 dog performance assessment, we assess our dogs from the very beginning. All of our protective dogs have been chosen from the cream of the crop nationally and across Europe. All dogs that we source are from proven bloodlines and their health and temperament have been meticulously assessed before being imported into the UK. So, you can trust our choice.
We also undertake a full evaluation of your already existing personal protection dog, leaving you with the best-trained guard dog around.
Have you purchased an already trained family protection dog from a competitor and you unsure of its temperament, or past treatment? Are you worried that it might lash out at your family? Are you unsure how your dog would respond under a real-life threat?
We can provide a comprehensive and professional assessment of your dog. Our expert handlers will assess your dog’s behaviour, temperament and training to make sure your protective dog is fit for purpose and doesn’t pose a threat to you and your loved ones.
PROTECTION DOG PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT
Temperament of a guard dog is one of the key factors we test when scoping out whether or not the dog is fit for purpose. Protective dogs aren’t purely to protect yourself from possible threats, they are a pet and a companion for yourself and your family. Therefore it is important that we test their temperament to ensure they are safe around children and don’t have any particular triggers that will put yourself or anyone else in danger.
Obedience is imperative in order to train a protection dog well. Obedience is crucial to develop in order to have full control when using your dog for protection. Here at Link K9, we will have a number of obedience tests that we perform on your dog. This enables us to point out any weaknesses that we would consider to be inadequate for a protection dog. We have multiple tests to analyse how your dog reacts and then implement a tailored training strategy to resolve these issues.
It is important to ensure that the dogs can protect and follow the right actions to threaten intruders. We test the dogs by simulating real-life scenarios at facilities such as home invasions, attacks whilst out walking and others. These tests are not focused on biting equipment, instead they are to get an understanding how your dog reacts in a particular situation. At Link K9 we do a lot of training in different environments and perform tests within your own home should you wish. This scenario is to evaluate as close to reality as how your dog would react in an attack.
